Very sturdy if used at or near shortest height. Easily exceeds any requirements for this application. Would not recommend if you need the full length. Structural strength goes down and is unstable near full extension. Threads are mediocre, but manageable and once set should not be a problem. Installation was very easy. I put a 1/8th inch felt pad on bottom and was able to force fit them in place. I was going use this a temporary solution until I could move everything and screw them in. However the result was so good I may just leave as is. Easy to adjust if knocked loose and I put in more than I really needed. Enormous improvement in the bed.
