I bought this for my daughter and her husband. They will be using it in a trailer that was converted into a camping trailer. He is building a bench(for couch feature) that will pull out to support the bed feature. He was super excited when he got it home and opened it up. I asked him if it was good and he responded "way better than expected!"I’ve seen people say this is 6 inches thick… you need to take the mattress out of both covers and let it air out/expand fully, although not 8 inches, mine did expand to 7.75 inchesI about love this buy! The picture shows set up one way but this sofa can be set up multiple ways. It's comfortable, solid, and worth the money. We needed something comfortable for our guest room that doesn't take up a lot of room. This sofa/mattress was perfect. I only wish it came in blackSolid 3.5 stars, but not quite good enough for a 4.We got this for a guest bed/home office. We wanted a "couchbed" but unfortunately the pandemic halted their business so we decided to go with this off brand version which is about $100 cheaper. At first I intended to return this one, however the return shipping is such a pain in the butt I decided I'd just keep it.1. Firstly, the fabric is decent quality - nicer than I expected. The dark gray color is consistant with the photos.2. However the mattress is NOT 8 inches. It's about 6.5 - and that's being generous. I've had it for about 3 weeks and if it hasn't "expanded" to its full size by now, then it never will.3. Next, as others mentioned, this is low to the ground. It's a 6.5 mattress pretending to be 8 inches - so that's the height. This isn't a design flaw, this is just a matter of understanding the product you're buying. We plan to get a "couchbed" platform to go under it as soon as we can.4. As a sofa it's not particularly comfortable, which is too bad. We've had to use lots of bed pillows to make up for the "backless" style.5. As a mattress it's surprisingly lovely. Way better than a futon! It's firm in a good way. The seam down the middle isn't an issue as long as you put sheets on it like a normal bed. Definitely more comfortable as a bed than as a sofa. The "coachbed" brand version is definitely a better product - and is a full 8 inches. But since this one is $100 less, I guess it does the job as long as you're not using it as a primary sofa.this futon description did not include that you need a support wall to stand up as a couchThis is a good low couch for the family that can double as a bed for sleep overs. No need to worry about little kids falling off the couch or bump into hard corners. I like the fact the cover zips off for the wash machine. I’ve already had to do that once. It’s a bit cumbersome to get the cover back on but it’s doable. The seam doesn’t seem very strong so best not to take the cover on and off too often. I got a couch cover for it for easy cleaning. Not the best looking option but again, with kids, easy cleaning is the key! This is also a comfy couch for people without kids. I can only imagine how amazing it would be to actually watch a movie on this thing without kids climbing all over me.Awesome little couch! Perfect for the kids and a sleeping spot for Gram on her visits!! We had an old futon and it was not functional at all. My husband and I had slept on a couch bed like this a couple years ago on a trip so we too the plunge. We went with the twin sized one which is perfect size for under our sons loft! It inflates to a very nice firmness and the color is awesome! Have a fuzzy rug on the way for in front of it and the kids have had a blast with it!This is obviously just an off brand CouchBed™ but with only being an inch smaller in thickness to the brand name this is a winner! Yes it can have wrinkles but that's what an iron is for. Fabric is thick and sturdy, mattress foam is strong and durable. I use this as a couch daily and as a bed to cuddle with my partner when they come visit. Yes I recommend this as a low-profile couch/bed combo. Be aware, it is low to the ground and some pictures showing adult men sitting on it with leg room are misleading. The men in those photos are probably 5'3"
