I really loved the finished product the main bed was very easy to assemble. The trundle however was such a headache. I figured out if i reverse the instructions ( i.e. screw in slats prior to doing end portion), it finally worked. Prior to me figuring this out thethe slats with wheel would not line up ( wood block at the end is short) or it would just rolled away. The finished product looked really fancy, I'm not sure how strudy it will be. More to follow but, my sister and her guess are currently enjoying it!This was difficult to put together. The wood is particle board.Don't expect your plush mattress to fit as the bottom slide in mattress. The maximum hight mattress that would work is probably 8 inches. We tried furniture risers to raise the bed high enough for the mattress to fit, but these interfered with the lower part sliding all the way in and out. Ultimately we bought a 6" memory foam for the bottom.Perfect for my 14yo daughter, upgrading from a twin size. Has room for sleepovers with her best friends. The trundle is very hard to put together. There are only 2 wooden sides, and wooden slats underneath. instead of 4 wooden boards to make a square, then drop the mattress in. Do not recommendIts very nice looking assembled. We are using it as a couch in our RV. The front board broke within a week of having it. We likely exceeded the 300 lb weight limit with 2 adults sitting on it. We were able to resupport it with a stronger board and its still functional. It's not bad but, you get what you pay for. The wood supporting it is flimsy. I probably would not purchase this daybed again.First off, any reason California’s Proposition 65 is listed on this product posting? It took in all 30 min to put this thing together, it has absolutely no instructions so im sure there are many washers i didn't use.The fit and finish is ok, the craftsmanship leaves something to be desired....not everything fits absolutely perfectly but it fits quite well. My biggest gripe is the shipper did not deliver to my house but instead all the way by the road and so i had to carry the 2 separate big boxes up my driveway into the house.....It will take some final touches and design pillows to make it a stunner but it is a beautiful piece just dont expect very soft material or a comfortably plush tufted backrest. The bed looks really good at a GREAT price. It is a normal size daybed (I was worried it would be too small). The only issue is that it has a strong smell, it was so strong that I could smell it through the box.I love the bed saves space....amazing quality
